Ludmila Tonceva
Ludmila Tonceva was born in Chisinau, Moldova on July 22, 1946.
During 1961 – 1966 she studied at the Art College in Chisinau, in 1979 she graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.
1962 – 1963 Ludmila started a creative intercourse with Ada Zevina and Michail Grecu, whose lectures and talks greatly affected the formation of would-be painter's creative views.
1966 – Ludmila's first exhibition, Chisinau, Moldova.
1972 – Artists' Union membership
2001 Gamdurd Prize Winner
Ludmila Tonceva's works were displayed at numerous group exhibitions in Moldova, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Germany, Japan, Ukraine, Morocco and the Philippines.
Personal exhibitions were held in Chisinau, Moldova and Moscow, Russia.
Her works have been acquired by museums and art galleries in Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Private collections are held in Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Yugoslavia, Moldova, Holland, Romania, Russia, USA, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and Hungary.
